The neighbors behind us have twin baby girls. They bathe them twice a day. Once in the morning and again before bedtime. I thought the way they bathed them was pretty genius. They have a pan of clean water, lay the baby across their laps with the adults feet out and then wash the baby as in the photo. This actually works pretty good because the baby is not so hard to hold on to while bathing. I gave it a try on the second baby. When you've finished the first side, you dry her and then turn her over and lay her lengthwise, centering her on your legs. They do use disinfectant in the water and they powder the baby's neck and body creases to keep away heat rash. The yellow beads you see are to gage the babies growth and weight gain. Ingenious huh?
This woman is baby Alena's grandmother. She will live with the twins mother for several months to help care for the babies. The mother has to work to provide for her babies.
